Fantastic potato cakes, dimmies, and egg & lettuce sanga. Hubby's chicken & salad wrap was a winner. Coffee - I hate when it tastes like warm milk only - and I forgot to ask for hot and strong coffee - I didn’t need to worry - it was perfectly hot and strong. Great service too. HIGHLY recommend.

Poppies Cafe is a great little spot with lots of homemade snacks and sweets, and a barista machine for hot beverages. I ordered a hot chocolate and a simple beef cheeseburger, which was made fresh. The service was excellent, especially considering I arrived at 3:30 pm, well after lunchtime. The gentleman who served me was very polite and made the burger fresh, even though there were others already prepared. There's plenty of seating inside, making it a cozy spot in the cold and a cool retreat in the summer. The variety of sweets was very tempting! Lots of free street parking available as well. Highly recommend stopping by Poppies Cafe for a delightful and friendly experience!

Poppies make the best hamburgers around the area. The food is always made well and offer very satisfying and generous serving sizes. Great value for money. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and very dedicated.

Nice little cafe with plenty of options to choose from and seem quite busy, as with most ready cooked food timing is key. It was ok but obviously been sitting there a while. Steak sandwich was bland and steak paper thin.

Coffee: Perfectly brewed and served at the ideal temperature! The flavor was bold and smooth, just what I needed to start my day. Service: The staff here are fantastic. I was greeted with a warm smile and a cheerful “Good morning” the moment I walked in. They made me feel welcome and valued as a customer, which is sometimes hard to find these days. Atmosphere: The cafe has a relaxed and inviting vibe, making it a great spot to work or catch up with friends. Overall, Poppies is a gem worth visiting. Whether you’re after great food, quality coffee, or friendly service, this place has it all. Highly recommended!

From the very first bite of my hamburger I was transported back to my youth in the '70s. A fresh flat bun, lettuce and tomato, and a large rissole that fit the bun perfectly. Easy to eat and delicious. My only regret was that I didn't order some beetroot with it. (Maybe this could be standard with the "classic Aussie Burger"). Diligently, hard working staff, with this acclaimed menu, will make this my destination for a meal if I'm anywhere near this delightful region. Cheers.
